The Design Experience

Your wedding day should be the very best moment of your life, and I am here to help you create the day of your dreams. I will guide you all the way so that choosing and designing the most important cake you will ever buy is simple and stress free.

The Process

Once you have confirmed your date with your venue then it is time to get in touch to see if I am available for your day. Simply click on my contact form to start your initial enquiry. I will reply to all enquiries within 48 hours, and assuming I am free for your date, I will forward you some follow-up questions to help me better understand your aspirations for your wedding. I will then supply you with a rough pricing guide based on the information provided.

Four times a year I hold cake consultations at my studio. I will provide you with a list of available dates and times for you to choose from. This is where you get to try samples of my most popular signature flavours and toast to your forthcoming nuptials with a glass or two of prosecco. After the consultation, I will hand draw a minimum of three bespoke designs for you to choose from for your wedding cake. If you are unable to attend a consultation, I offer cake sample boxes that will be posted around the same dates, next day delivery. After this, we can arrange a video call to discuss all things cake. If you wish to go ahead and secure me as your cake designer, there is a £150 non-refundable booking fee. This is then deducted from your final balance.

Ten weeks prior to your wedding date I will arrange a call with you both to confirm the final details of your cake, delivery, setup etc. The final balance is due no less than 8 weeks before your selected date as stated in my terms & conditions. I will then liaise with your wedding coordinator or planner the week before delivery and arrange with them the best time for me to set up your cake. (I do not offer a collection service for wedding cakes. Most of my cakes would not be suitable for collection as they need careful handling and often need to be built on site.) On the day of delivery all cake information will be handed to your venue coordinator and/or caterers. This will include cutting instructions, detailed allergens, cake flavours and items to be kept for returning back to myself.

If you know in your heart that I am the cake designer for your wedding, even if you are not sure what design you are looking for yet, you can secure your date with a £150 non-refundable booking fee. I only take on one wedding cake per week, so during peak wedding season I can be booked up 2 years in advance. Please use the contact form to see if I am available for your date.

Please note that I have a minimum spend of £550 for all wedding cakes.
